Nobody walks into ethical non-monogamy knowing what they’re doing. Everyone you’ll meet in this community once stood in a doorway wondering what the rules were, what the words meant, and whether they were the only ones in the room who felt nervous. They weren’t, and you aren’t either.

This month, the ENM Discussion Group is rolling out the welcome mat. Whether you’ve been quietly curious for years, you and your partner just had “the conversation,” or you’ve been to a few events and still feel like you’re faking it, this evening was built for you.

WHAT WE WILL GET INTO...
 

Starting out. What ENM actually is (and how swinging, polyamory, and open relationships differ), the conversations worth having before you open up, and why “we’ll figure it out as we go” is a plan with a short shelf life.

The first-year survival guide. Boundaries versus rules, going at the pace of the slower partner, what to do when jealousy shows up uninvited, and the classic newbie mistakes our veterans made so you don’t have to.

Navigating House of Black. A club can be intimidating when you don’t know how it works. We’ll walk through what to expect on your first night here: the house rules, how consent works in this space, how to read the room, how to approach someone (and how to say “no, thank you” gracefully), and why it’s perfectly fine to just watch, mingle, and go home.

The Question Box. On your way in, drop an anonymous question on a card: the one you’re too embarrassed to ask out loud. We’ll pull them and the whole room will answer, with no names and no judgment.

Veterans, this night needs you. Come share the one thing you wish someone had told you on day one. Your hard-won lessons are the best welcome gift this community has.

There’s no pressure to share, this is not a play event, and no experience required. Come solo or bring your partner. Listening counts as participating, and what’s said in the room stays in the room.
